Anyone that knows me, knows about my love for food. To give you an example, the first conversation I have with my boyfriend is what will be having for dinner… Mostly is me saying what and how are we having it as he always gives me the: I’m ok eating anything, what would you fancy tonight. So you get the idea!  

I love to eat, to cook… Although I’m a very, very picky eater, but that hasn’t stopped me from going out and enjoying every time I can! Last night we were lazy and wanted something nice but local so we decided to stop by Vicino, a small Italian restaurant in New Kings Road, just before Parsons Green. The ambient is quiet, with some interesting choices of decoration but with hearty food as it should be in any Italian restaurant. 
As the day was hot we decided to share two starters, carpaccio di manzo and insalata tricolore, obviously changing the mozzarella for a burrata. Such a nice and fresh starter, with a thingy basil-lime-olive oil dressing it was to die for. 

For the main I ordered tagliatelle Gorgonzola e spinaci, very creamy and delicious. My boyfriend ordered from the specials, linguine al cartoccio, which arrived in a foil bag containing baby squid, prawns, clams, mussels and sea scallops in a light tomato, garlic and chilli sauce. What a delightful dinner! All accompanied with prosecco to celebrate those rarely summery nights!
